/ in Discord and select Caesar to see the commands and options available to your account. Access is controlled by configured staff permissions; Discord administrators bypass Caesar’s role gates. Some actions also require native Discord permissions and the bot’s role must be high enough to act on the target.
Sanctions
/sanction warn
Record a warning for a member. Include a reason; the case is added to their history.
/sanction timeout
Apply a Discord timeout with a reason and optional duration. Durations use formats such as 30m, 2h, 1d12h, or 2w; Discord limits timeouts to 28 days.
/sanction suspend
Suspend a member, remove their roles, and record a case. Use an optional duration; perm creates a permanent suspension. This action is more restricted than a warning or timeout.
/sanction history
Review a member’s moderation record and the status of each case.
/sanction view
Look up a case by its case ID.
/sanction duration
Change the duration of an active timeout or suspension.
/sanction revoke
End an active timeout or suspension early using its case ID. Add a reason when appropriate.
Active cases and evidence
/active
Choose all, suspended, or timeouts to list members who currently have an active suspension or timeout. Requires the sanction permission.
/evidence upload
Attach evidence to a case. Add the evidence files to the command before submitting. Requires sanction.
/evidence delete
Remove evidence from a case. Requires sanctionSuspend.
Member records and flags
/note
Use add, view, or remove to manage private staff notes on a member. Requires sanction.
/flag
Use add to flag a user, remove to clear the flag, or list to review flagged users. A flagged user may be automatically suspended if they join.
Messages and channel tools
/purge
Delete recent messages in the current channel by count or filter, such as author, text, bot messages, or links. Discord’s bulk-delete API cannot delete messages older than 14 days. Requires purge; the bot also needs Manage Messages.
/nick
Change a member’s server nickname. Requires Discord Manage Nicknames. The bot must be able to manage the target member.
/role
Add or remove a role from a member, or use the has add/has remove actions to update everyone who has another role. Requires the configured role permission. The bot needs Manage Roles and cannot assign roles at or above its highest role.
/mp
Use blacklist or unblacklist to control a member’s access to marketplace listings. Requires the configured marketplace-manager permission.
/snipe and /cs
/snipe shows the most recently deleted message the bot retained for the channel. /cs clears that stored message. Both require snipe.
/sticky
Post a message that Caesar reposts at the bottom of the channel as new messages arrive. Use its remove option to stop. Requires the configured sticky permission or Manage Server when no custom roles are configured. The bot needs permission to send and delete messages.
/protect
Toggle whether a channel is included in message edit, delete, and ping logs. Requires protect.
/transfer
Copy recent messages or pinned messages from one channel or thread to another. Requires Discord Manage Messages; the bot needs access to both locations and permission to manage webhooks.
Staff activity
/quota
View your own activity quota. Staff options can review other members, open the management panel, inspect history and strikes, preview the weekly rollover, manage excuses and discharge flags, or change settings. Each staff action uses its matching configured quota permission; weekly reset and rollover require Administrator.
/loa
Manage staff leave-of-absence entries. Members can view their own record. Viewing someone else’s record, listing active LOAs, adding an LOA, and removing one each require their corresponding loa_view_others, loa_list, loa_append, or loa_remove permission.
Configuration and cleanup
AutoMod whitelist in /admin
From /admin, open AutoMod Whitelist and choose list, add, or remove to manage rule, keyword, and channel exemptions from punishments. Discord Manage Server is required.
/clearhistory
Permanently remove moderation history for a member, a single case, or the whole server. This requires Discord Administrator. Confirm carefully: deleted history cannot be restored.
/honeypot
Use /honeypot action:setup to create a channel automatically, or include channel:<#channel> (or a channel ID) to select an existing regular text channel. Use status to check the active channel and disable to turn off automatic handling. Requires the honeypot permission. Non-staff who post in the channel are suspended and recent cached messages are removed; staff can post without being punished. The bot needs permission to create channels when making one, manage roles to suspend members, and manage messages to remove posts.
/admin — autoresponders
Open the Admin panel and select Autoresponders to create, edit, enable, disable, or delete automated replies. Access requires the configured autoresponder permission; when no custom role is configured, Manage Server is used.
If a command or option is missing, ask a server administrator to review your Caesar permissions. Do not rely on role names alone: access is granted to specific configured roles or Discord permissions, and the bot must also have the permissions needed to carry out the action.
